Performance

In 2023, the Audi Q5 has two powertrain options, and these are both paired with a seven-speed, auto dual-clutch transmission. Both have a turbocharged 2.0-liter, four-cylinder layout. The base engine produces 201 horsepower, and the upgraded engine gives off 261 horsepower. The Audi Q7 is also available with two engines. The lower trims have the same 261-horsepower engine as is available in the Q5. The top Q7 trims have a V6 turbo 3.0-liter system that generates 335 horsepower. Both are combined with an eight-speed auto transmission. Both the Q5 and the Q7 are exclusively available with Quattro all-wheel drive.

Appearance

As a three-row SUV, the Q7 is visibly larger than the Q5. The Q5 has relatively smooth panels with a hint of definition on the hood and doors. The large, chrome-outlined grille has black honeycomb mesh. The front bumper and air vents are accented with chrome. The Q7 has a stronger definition through the sides and doors. The black grille stands tall and is accented with vertical bars. The laser LED headlights, and the lower-front air vents are also dressed up with accent bars.

Features

The most notable difference between these SUVs’ features is the standard third row of seats in the Q7. Both of these Audi models are offered with a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, adaptive cruise control, a premium audio system, a heads-up display, leather material, a power liftgate, a navigation system, rear and front parking sensors, memory settings for the driver, wireless smart device connections and more. The Q7 also has an automated parking system, soft-closing doors, massaging front seats, heated rear seats, a four-zone climate management system, a power-folding function for the third row, and dual screens in the center stack.
